Job summary

Teach Plus UK Limited is recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southall, starting ASAP. The role involves supporting a small SEND class of approximately 6-8 children with complex additional needs, including ASD, SLCN, and non-verbal pupils.

You will provide tailored support to help pupils access learning and develop communication skills. The school emphasises pupil wellbeing, inclusion and individual progress, with a supportive team and collaborative

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children with SEND.
  • Minimum of 3 months UK experience working in a school setting.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with complex SEND.
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities that meet individual pupil needs.
  • Encourage communication, social interaction, emotional regulation and the development of independence.
  • Implement individual education plans, behaviour strategies and specialist support approaches as directed by the class teacher and wider team.
  • Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
  • Monitor pupil progress and communicate effectively with teachers, support staff and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
