Job summary

Engage Education are working with a brilliant primary school in the Rochdale area to recruit a Primary SEN Mentor to provide 1:1 and small group academic support to children with SEND within their KS2 cohort. The role runs Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 15:15pm during term-time, with a daily rate of £95.

The school offers a warm, inclusive environment with supportive SEND staff, easy parking and good transport links.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 UK based degree.
• Prior mentoring, teaching or tutoring experience.
• Strong communicator with a passion for education.
• Ability to engage with KS2 aged children.
• Willing to obtain Enhanced Child Workforce DBS.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group SEND support for KS2 students.
• Utilise Education Health Care Plans to structure support.
• Collaborate with SEND professionals to support pupils.

Primary SEN Mentor - Role Information:

• Providing individual and small group SEND support for students
• Utilising tailored Education Health Care Plans to structure support
• Working alongside experienced and supportive SEND professionals
• Monday to Friday role - 08.30am to 15.15pm working hours
• November 2026 to July 2026 contract - £95 per day during term-time

Primary SEN Mentor - Applicant Requirements:

• Minimum 2:2 UK based degree
• Prior experience mentoring, teaching or tutoring
• Strong communicator with passion for education
• Ability to engage and interact with KS2 aged children
• Has or willing to obtain Enhanced Child Workforce DBS
