Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking qualified Primary School Cover Teachers to work across KS1 and KS2 in Huddersfield, with immediate start and flexible day-to-day placements. You will follow provided lesson plans and maintain high standards for learning and behaviour in multiple schools.

Role offers market-rate pay and a dedicated team of consultants to support you, with opportunities across mainstream primary schools and varied year-group placements.

Qualifications

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching within UK primary schools
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Confidence teaching KS1 and/or KS2
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• A flexible and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons across KS1 and KS2 following provided plans
• Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour in a variety of primary schools
• Adapt to different school environments while sustaining pupil progress
• Support safeguarding and child protection policies in placements

Salary: £140 - £170 per day

We are looking for adaptable teachers who can confidently step into the classroom, follow provided lesson plans and maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour. Roles are available across KS1 and KS2, with opportunities varying depending on your experience and preferred year groups.

The successful Primary School Cover Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching within UK primary schools
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Confidence teaching KS1 and/or KS2
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• A flexible and professional approach
