Supply Desk are seeking a reliable Primary School Caretaker in the Watford area, starting this September. This full-time role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented school environment, with responsibilities across site maintenance and coordination with external contractors.

The ideal candidate is practical, organised and proactive, with a commitment to safeguarding and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for pupils, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking, maintenance, or facilities experience is desirable.
• Hands-on, practical approach to maintenance and problem solving.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Commitment to keeping school environment safe and secure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the school site.
• Ensure buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard.
• Perform regular health and safety checks and report issues promptly.
• Assist with opening and closing of the school premises.
• Liaise with contractors and external services as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver best outcomes.
