Supply Desk is seeking a reliable Primary School Caretaker for a full-time role in the Watford area, starting this September. The post focuses on keeping the school site safe, clean and well-presented for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role involves general maintenance across the site, health and safety checks, and collaboration with staff and external contractors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Weekly payments and CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities, or similar role is desirable.
• Practical and hands-on approach to maintenance and problem solving.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure school environment.
• Knowledge/Promotion of safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the school site.
• Ensure the buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
• Carry out regular health and safety checks and report any issues promptly.
• Assist with the opening and closing of the school premises when required.
• Liaise with contractors and external services as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
• Cooperation with colleagues to deliver the best outcomes
