Qualifications

• Proven practical experience in caretaking, maintenance, or related trade.
• Hands-on competency in DIY, fabric repairs and routine upkeep.
• Good physical fitness for porterage and site monitoring.
• Active enhanced DBS check on Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Open/close the school site, manage security routines, alarms, and gate access.
• Carry out routine repairs and general day-to-day DIY tasks around buildings.
• Perform weekly/monthly compliance checks (fire alarms, water temp).
• Manage porterage, furniture, event setup, and deliveries.
• Supervise cleaning, waste disposal, and outdoor area safety.
• Report issues to senior management and liaise with contractors.
