Early Years Lead Teacher – Lovely Primary School in Folkestone Location: Folkestone, Kent Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Until at least July 2026 Pay: Competitive, based on experience and leadership responsibilities

We are working with a warm and welcoming primary school in Folkestone that is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Years Lead Teacher to join their team from January. This is a senior leadership role that combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership responsibilities.

About the Role:
  • 2.5 days teaching across Nursery and Reception (Year R)
  • 2.5 days leadership time to drive Early Years excellence across the setting
  • Lead on curriculum development, staff mentoring, and continuous improvement in Early Years provision
  • Work closely with SLT to shape the vision and direction of the Early Years phase
  • Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and care for all children

  • A qualified teacher with significant Early Years experience
  • Proven leadership skills or aspirations to step into a senior role
  • A nurturing, creative, and reflective practitioner
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
