Job summary

Vertu Renault Gloucester is seeking a Prep Technician to perform high-quality pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles. You will work within manufacturer guidelines, meeting set timeframes while maintaining excellent customer service and productivity.

The role offers a basic salary of £29,200–£36,440 for a 42-hour week, with an additional over-performance bonus and a £1,000 sign-on bonus paid in month one and again in month 13. No weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Formal automotive qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3).
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT licence preferred but not essential.
• Own set of tools.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Maintain high workmanship to manufacturer guidelines.
• Work to agreed time frames while delivering excellent customer service.
• Aim for first-time fixes and high productivity.

We are offering a basic salary between £29,200 - £36,440 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 42 hour working week and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

NO WEEKEND WORKING !

We are offering a sign on bonus with this role - £1,000 in month one of employment and £1000 in month 13.

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
