Job summary

Vertu Ford Cheltenham is seeking a Prep Technician to perform pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles while maintaining high standards and efficiency. A 40-hour week with a competitive basic salary between £28,000 and £35,000, plus an over-performance bonus opportunity.

You will need a relevant Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification, current Vehicle Technician experience, a full UK driving licence, and your own tools. MOT license is preferred but not essential.

• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles.
• Ensure PDIs are performed to the highest standard and manufacturer guidelines.
• Work to agreed timeframes and maintain high productivity.
• Deliver quality workmanship and achieve first-time fixes.

We are offering a basic salary between £28,000 - £35,000 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 40 hour working week and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
