Job summary

Vertu Honda Doncaster is recruiting a Prep Technician to support PDI checks on new and used vehicles. The role benefits from a 41-hour four-day week with no regular weekends, and a potential extra overtime on Saturdays.

A £4,000 sign-on bonus is available, dispersed as £2,000 in the first month and £2,000 after 13 months. You will join a team focused on quality workmanship, productivity and outstanding customer service, with long weekends each month and access to ongoing training and development

Qualifications

• Qualified in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• Own set of tools and full UK driving licence.
• MOT license preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used vehicles.
• Work to agreed time frames while maintaining high productivity.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure first-time fixes where possible.

Join us and receive a £4,000 sign-on bonus, with £2,000 paid in your first monthand a further £2,000 after 13 months of serviceas a reward for your commitment.

We are offering a basic salary of up to £35,720, depending on your skills and experience. This is based on a 41-hour, four-day working week, with no regular weekend working. For those who want to boost their earnings, Saturday shifts are available and paid as overtime, alongside the opportunity to earn an additional over-performance bonus.

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
