Job summary

Vertu Renault Derby is seeking a Master Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on diagnosing, servicing and repairing vehicles, delivering excellent customer service, mentoring apprentices and ensuring first-time fixes.

We offer a basic salary between £37,600 and £47,780 for a 42-hour week, plus an over-performance bonus, comprehensive training including EV modules, generous leave and pension, and career progression across Vertu Motors.

Qualifications

• Relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT license preferred but not essential.
• Your own set of tools.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and carry out servicing and repair work on customer vehicles.
• Liaise with service advisors, customers and senior management to ensure excellent service.
• Assist in mentoring and developing apprentice technicians.
• Ensure quality workmanship and achieve first-time fixes.

We are offering a basic salary between £37,600 and £47,780 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 42 hour working week and and there is an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

Your role as a Master Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. We are expanding our team and currently seeking skilled individuals who take pride in their work. As a Master Technician you will be the expert in carrying out diagnosis and undertaking servicing and repair work on customer vehicles. You will effectively use your technical knowledge and skills to ensure you and your colleagues are working efficiently. You will be expected to liaise with service advisors, customers and senior management ensuring excellent customer service and a professional approach at all times. We will also require you to assist in the mentoring and development of apprentice technicians. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
