Job summary

Vertu Renault Gloucester is seeking a Prep Technician to support pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles. You will work to high manufacturer standards, with a focus on quality, productivity and first-time fixes while delivering excellent customer service.

With a 42-hour week, the role offers a competitive basic salary between £29,200 and £36,440, plus a sign-on bonus of £2,000 and a range of benefits, including generous annual leave and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT license preferred but not essential; own tools and full UK driving licence are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles.
• Work to manufacturer guidelines and time frames while maintaining high productivity.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure quality workmanship and first‑time fixes.

We are offering a basic salary between £29,200 - £36,440 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 42 hour working week and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

NO WEEKEND WORKING !

We are offering a sign on bonus with this role -£1,000 in month one of employment and £1000 in month 13.

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first‑time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician

• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
