Job summary

Vertu Land Rover Exeter is seeking a Prep Technician to perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on both new and used vehicles, ensuring each car leaves with the highest quality and compliance to manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• A recognised Automotive qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Prep Technician.
• MOT Licence desirable but not essential.
• Your own tools and full UK driving licence.
• Commitment to high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles to manufacturer standards before delivery to customers.
• Hit productivity targets while ensuring right-first-time quality.

We are looking for a skilled and driven Prep Technician to join our award-winning aftersales team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art workshop environment, preparing premium vehicles to the exceptional standards expected of the Land Rover brand.

We are offering a basic salary of up to £35,551, depending on skills and experience, based on a 41-hour Monday to Friday working week, alongside an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

To welcome you to the business, we're also offering an outstanding £4,000 bonus package, including:

• £2,000 Sign-On Bonus paid in Month 1
• £2,000 Retention Bonus paid in Month 13

About The Role

As a Prep Technician, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer motoring experience built on trust, quality and attention to detail.

You will be responsible for carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on both new and used vehicles, ensuring every vehicle is prepared to the highest standards and fully compliant with manufacturer requirements before reaching the customer.

Working within a fast-paced and professional workshop, you'll be expected to achieve agreed productivity targets while maintaining exceptional levels of quality and ensuring a right-first-time approach to every vehicle you prepare.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:
