Vertu Kia Edinburgh is seeking a Prep Technician to support PDI work on new and used vehicles, ensuring highest quality standards and adherence to manufacturer guidelines. A strong automotive qualification and current vehicle technician experience are essential.

You will need to bring your own tools and hold a full UK driving licence. The role offers a competitive salary and growth opportunities within Vertu Motors’ network of over 190 locations.

Qualifications

• Must have a formal Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician in a fast fit, independent or main franchised garage.
• Own your own set of tools.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

We are offering a basic salary of £32,440. This is based on a 42 hour working week and an additional over‑performance bonus opportunity and an additional £4,000 sign on bonus!

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first‑time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician in a fast fit, independent or main franchised garage
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
