Job summary

Vertu Hyundai Nottingham is seeking a Prep Technician to perform pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles. You will ensure PDIs meet manufacturer guidelines, work to set timeframes, and maintain high productivity while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires a relevant automotive qualification (NVQ Level 3), current Vehicle Technician experience, and a full UK driving licence. MOT licence is preferred but not essential.

• Relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3.
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT licence preferred but not essential.
• Your own set of tools.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles.
• Ensure PDIs align with manufacturer guidelines and quality standards.
• Work to agreed time frames while maintaining high productivity.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
• Aim for first-time fixes and quality workmanship.

We are offering a basic salary between £29,200 & £36,440 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 42 hour working week and an additional over-performance bonus opportunity.

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
