Job summary

Leicester City Council is recruiting a Premises Officer for the Dawn Centre in Leicester. The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no hybrid option and daily on-site work at the Dawn Centre.

You will lead domestic services, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, clean, welcoming environment for residents experiencing homelessness, with a focus on health and safety and effective collaboration with partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, maintenance, domestic services or similar setting.
• Ability to supervise and support staff effectively.
• Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of the hostel building and domestic services.
• Lead and support a team of domestic staff and oversee cleanliness and safety.
• Carry out health and safety checks (fire safety and hygiene) and assist Building Responsible Officer duties.
• Coordinate minor repairs, manage stock, and oversee laundry and meal services as needed.
