Job summary

Leicester City Council is seeking a Senior Supported Living Development Officer to lead the delivery of high-quality supported living services, including working across housing pathways to empower residents. The role requires managing a team, coordinating complex cases, and partnering with health, housing and social care colleagues to achieve better outcomes.

You will work a hybrid pattern with office attendance two days a week and travel across the city for home visits and meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing or overseeing social care, health, or housing services that are responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
• Sound knowledge of social care and housing legislation, policy and best practice.
• Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills across multi-agency teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of the Supported Living service with clear direction and motivation to the team.
• Represent the service at multi-disciplinary and multi-agency forums to resolve complex issues.
• Develop innovative solutions to promote independence and wellbeing for people drawing on Adult Social Care.
• Provide professional advice to staff, partners and stakeholders and manage risk in complex cases.
• Promote high standards of practice, quality and service delivery while maintaining compassion and dignity for residents.
