Job summary

Veeam is seeking a Systems Engineer to partner with field sales and evangelize our data, security and AI offerings across the UK & Ireland. This role involves presenting to customers and partners, delivering POCs and hands-on labs, and traveling up to 50% within the region.

You will collaborate with product, engineering and channels to turn business needs into technical solutions, drive pre‑sales engagements, and support sales cycles from discovery to close.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a pre-sales IT role.
• Experience using or deploying Veeam solutions.
• VMCE certification is advantageous; certification path available after joining.
• Deep experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV).
• Working knowledge of public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms such as Office 365 and Salesforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort presenting to groups, remotely and in person.
• Willingness to travel UK & Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Engage with end users and partners to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
• Create content and deliver presentations and demonstrations to decision makers, virtually and in person.
• Lead the technical evaluation stage of the sales process as the main technical advisor for Veeam solutions.
• Provide pre-sales assistance to customers evaluating Veeam software (POCs, hands-on labs, bootcamps).
• Maintain CRM records of customer and partner engagements (Salesforce).
• Collaborate with VARs on training, meetings and relationship building.
• Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars, user groups, etc.
