Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer: Demos, Architecture & Value

Job summary

DigiCert is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to combine technical expertise with sales acumen and identify, qualify, and close opportunities across a defined portfolio. You will work with customers, partners, and Account Managers to deliver business value, conduct demos and PoC/Vs, and provide end-to-end technical guidance during the sales cycle.

Travel is expected at 20-25%. The role requires knowledge of PKI, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, REST APIs, and scripting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Experience as an SE or technical salesperson, or equivalent in product/engineering roles.
• Knowledge of IT/IS concepts including PKI, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and network scanners.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with ServiceNow, GitHub, and REST API integrations.
• Hands-on scripting/automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Experience with DevOps/automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and perform technical discovery to identify requirements and pain points.
• Lead product demonstrations and PoC/PoV activities.
• Translate customer needs into actionable technical solutions and configurations.
• Scope customer environments to recommend best-fit products and services.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical proposals, and integration guides.
• Support RFP/RFI responses and bid documentation.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to validate feasibility.
• Coordinate with Account Executives to align technical value with goals.
