Job summary

Vickerstock is recruiting a Powertrain Engineering Manager in Mid Ulster for a senior leadership role overseeing powertrain and related systems across complex products. You will guide a specialist team, ensure technical ownership and drive major development programs from concept through production.

The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic input to improve performance, reliability and efficiency in powertrain solutions. Excellent pension and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Experience leading Engineers or technical teams.
• Experience with powertrain integration from concept to production.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and people leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a specialist Engineering team
• Take technical ownership of powertrain and associated systems
• Lead engineering projects from concept through development, testing and production
• Oversee the integration of mechanical, electrical and control systems
• Provide technical direction and support across new product development
• Review designs and support key engineering decisions
• Coordinate testing, validation and resolution of technical issues
• Work closely with Design, Manufacturing and other Engineering teams
• Manage engineering priorities, resources and project timescales
• Drive improvements in product performance, reliability and efficiency
