Job summary

Vickerstock is recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager in Northern Ireland to lead multi-site mechanical projects. You will manage technical delivery, engage customers, contractors and suppliers, and ensure successful project outcomes with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Mechanical Project Management, Contracts Management or a similar project delivery position.
• A strong Mechanical Engineering background.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders throughout project delivery; good commercial awareness and understanding of project costs.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of mechanical projects and drive them through to successful completion.
• Coordinate the people, resources and activities required to deliver projects effectively.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and key project stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, timescales and commercial performance.
• Coordinate suppliers, contractors and internal personnel.
• Identify potential project issues and implement practical solutions.
• Manage changes and variations throughout project delivery.
• Ensure appropriate technical, quality and Health & Safety requirements are maintained.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering and other internal departments.
• Maintain effective project communication, documentation and reporting.
