Job summary

Mana Resourcing Ltd. is seeking a Design & Production Engineer in Northamptonshire to join a specialist automotive components provider. You will translate ideas into precision-engineered reality, leading prototypes through to production with a hands-on engineering approach.

You will contribute to feasibility, design for manufacture, and process validation, while supporting industrialisation and production launches. The role offers exposure to world-class brands and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering design and manufacturing environment.
• Strong CATIA V5 proficiency.
• Understanding of DF/PFMEA, control plans and IATF 16949.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Concept & Feasibility assessment for new powertrain concepts.
• Prototype development & validation activities.
• Pre-production planning and industrialisation efforts.
• Production launch support and continuous improvement.
• Create CAD concepts and detailed CATIA V5 designs for prototypes.
• Provide early design input to assess feasibility, cost and capability.
• Develop FMEA and manufacturing feasibility studies.
• Produce detailed CAD models/drawings for prototypes.
• Plan prototype builds and review first-off parts.
• Define routings, processes and ERP data; lead process capability.
