Vickerstock is recruiting a Powertrain Engineering Manager in Mid Ulster for a senior leadership role overseeing powertrain and related systems across complex products. You will guide a specialist team, ensure technical ownership and drive major development programs from concept through production.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related discipline.
Experience leading Engineers or technical teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, support and develop a specialist Engineering team
Take technical ownership of powertrain and associated systems
Lead engineering projects from concept through development, testing and production

Coordinate testing, validation and resolution of technical issues
Work closely with Design, Manufacturing and other Engineering teams

Company and Role of Powertrain Engineering Manager

Vickerstock are recruiting for a Powertrain Engineering Manager on behalf of a successful and growing engineering and manufacturing business in Mid Ulster.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager, Powertrain Engineer or senior technical leader looking for a position combining people leadership with significant involvement in new product development.

You will lead a specialist Engineering team responsible for the development, integration and improvement of powertrain and associated systems across a range of complex engineered products.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position. You will remain involved in key engineering decisions, system integration and problem-solving while providing direction and support to the wider Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities for this Powertrain Engineering Manager position

Lead, support and develop a specialist Engineering team
Take technical ownership of powertrain and associated systems

Essential Criteria for this Powertrain Engineering Manager position

Strong engineering experience within powertrain, propulsion, drivetrain or other complex integrated systems
Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing Engineers
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical system integration
Experience developing engineered products from concept through to production
Strong technical problem-solving capabilityExperience with product testing and validation
Ability to work effectively with suppliers and multidisciplinary Engineering teams
Strong communication and people leadership skills

A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous.

Experience within powertrain, automotive, off-highway equipment, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, mobile machinery or other complex engineered products would be particularly relevant.
