Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking a Power Quality Systems Engineer to join a growing specialist engineering business focused on critical infrastructure and energy projects. Based in the East Midlands with hybrid working, you will lead power systems studies and electrical design across challenging projects.

The role covers load flow, fault level, protection and grid compliance, power quality analysis, and modelling.

Qualifications

• Experience in Power Systems Studies, Power Quality Systems or a related power systems discipline.
• Experience with load flow, fault level, protection and grid compliance studies.
• Knowledge of power systems modelling, electrical design and analysis.
• Understanding of power quality, including harmonics, voltage transients, reactive power and dynamic response.

Responsibilities

• Deliver power systems studies and analysis, including load flow, fault level, protection and grid compliance studies covering reactive power capability, voltage transients, harmonics and dynamic response
• Develop and standardise study formats and methodologies to improve repeatability and efficiency, including standardising software where possible
• Carry out power systems modelling, electrical design and analysis, including substation design, system layouts, cable sizing and associated calculations
• Work closely with customers and internal engineering teams, supporting consultancy projects, technical studies and internal R&D activities

Power Quality Systems Engineer – Critical Infrastructure

Redline has been retained by a specialist engineering consultancy who are looking for a Power Quality Systems Engineer to join their growing engineering team, based in the East Midlands with hybrid working.

Due to continued growth and an increasing volume of projects, my client are seeking a Power Quality Systems Engineer to play a key role in power systems studies, electrical design and consultancy across a range of critical infrastructure and energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver power systems studies and analysis, including load flow, fault level, protection and grid compliance studies covering reactive power capability, voltage transients, harmonics and dynamic response
• Develop and standardise study formats and methodologies to improve repeatability and efficiency, including standardising software where possible
