Royal Mail Group in Worksop is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels in your local area, using a Royal Mail van and on foot, on a rotating shift including weekends.

You’ll work 30 hours per week across 5 days, with a typical core window and a Sunday 10:00-16:00 rota. Full training provided, and overtime is paid. A full UK manual driving licence is required, with up to 6 penalty points.

Location: Worksop Delivery Office, S80 1AA

Job type: Fixed Termcontract 6 months

Salary: £13.68 per hour* (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.
Working hours: 30:00hours per week - working 5days in 7 across Monday - Sunday - 08:15/18:00*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work 10:00-16:00 Sundays on a rota basis.

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
