Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Pershore to sort, deliver and be the face of our trusted service. You’ll work outdoors, in all weather, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and varied routes to meet demand.

You’ll receive full training, a uniform, and drive a Royal Mail van daily as part of a busy, customer-focused role that offers routine and variety. Benefits vary with contract length and start date.

Location: Pershore Delivery Office, WR10 2XX

Job type: Permanent contract

Salary: £13.68 per hour * (paid monthly).
Working hours: 30:00 hours per week – working 5 d ays in 7 across Monday - Sunday with 2 rest days – 07:30/15:30*

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays a t Worchester Delivery Office.

This role is physically demanding and fast-paced:

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)
• Driving a Royal Mail van daily
• Working in all weather conditions
• Delivering letters and high volumes of parcels
• Busy, time-pressured days, especially during peak periods

About you

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances , climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
