Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Warminster to deliver letters and parcels from the Warminster Delivery Office. The contract is fixed term for 9 months, working 37 hours per week across five days, including weekends, on a rotating schedule.

Shifts run 08:00–16:00 (Mon–Sat) and 12:30–18:30 on Sundays; you’ll be paid £13.68 per hour (monthly) with paid overtime. You’ll be outdoors, physically active, and customer-facing, building relationships with local customers while

Location: Warminster Delivery Office, BA12 9AX

Job type: Fixed Term contract (9 months)

Salary: £13.68 per hour (paid monthly) + paid overtime available.

Working hours: 37:00 hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday - Sunday

Monday - Saturday hours: 08:00 - 16:00

Sunday hours: 12:30 - 18:30

You’ll work on a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. Your rota will confirm your hours and delivery routes, which may vary based on demand.

You’ll be required to work Sundays at Trowbridge Delivery Office.

What To Expect

• Walking long distances (up to 12 miles / 20,000+ steps)

About You

We’ll provide full training, a uniform, and an iconic red van. You’ll need:

• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags

• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
