Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Portering Supervisor to lead day-to-day portering across the site, with a can-do attitude and commitment to patient care. The role sits within the Portering Services Management Team and involves supervising staff, prioritising requests, and supporting 24/7 operations.

The post includes 37.5 hours per week, occasional 10pm-6am shifts, enhanced pay for abnormal hours, and a requirement for a full UK driving licence and a level 3/5

Competenze

• Nationally recognised supervisory/management qualification to level 3 or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence (clean).
• Experience managing teams of 12 or more in healthcare or complex services.

Mansioni

• Ensure efficient, high-quality portering service across clinical and non-clinical departments.
• Receive, record, and issue prioritised portering requests using the Patient Flow portering management software.
• Monitor portering staff performance and provide on-the-job training.
• Liaise regularly with the portering manager to discuss issues arising from the provision of the portering service.
• Carry out all general portering duties as required.
