NHS Trust in Manchester is seeking a Portering Assistant to support daily portering operations and administrative tasks under the direction of the Head Porter. The role involves deputising out-of-hours as needed and ensuring smooth transport and patient flow throughout shifts.

You will assist with rota production, staff allocation, and temporary staffing to cover annual leave or unplanned absences, contributing to reliable service delivery for patients and hospital operations.

Mansioni

• Assist the Head Porter in all aspects of the provision of the portering service.
• To deputise for the head porter out-of-hours and as and when required.
• Carry out all portering tasks and assist with administrative tasks in conjunction with the head porter.
• Assist with the production of weekly rotas for all staff. Allocate and instruct staff daily.
• Assist Head porter with provision of overtime and bank staff to cover annual leave and un-planned absences i.e., sickness.
