Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking a Weighbridge/SCADA Controller on a fixed-term basis at the Port of Liverpool. You will manage the traffic system, operate SCADA, and ensure safe, accurate weighbridge operations while coordinating with engineers and shift teams.

The role requires excellent customer service and communication skills, IT proficiency, and attention to detail. Experience with weighbridges and bulk handling is advantageous in a fast-paced port environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service experience and strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in transactional work.
• Good IT skills with ability to use a range of software packages including Microsoft Office.
• Experience operating a weighbridge and providing administration support would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of bulk handling methods or related food/waste regs is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the traffic management system and ensure safe site operation.
• Operate the SCADA system to process tickets and ensure weighbridge accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineers, operatives and team leaders to discharge vessels and manage storage activities.
• Support safe and efficient product movements and report delays to the Shift Supervisor.
