Job summary

Peel Ports Group is seeking a Weighbridge/SCADA Controller on a fixed-term contract at Port of Liverpool. The role focuses on maintaining traffic management, operating the SCADA system, and ensuring weights are accurately recorded for entering/exiting vehicles.

You will collaborate with engineers, operatives and team leaders to discharge vessels, coordinate storage activities and support safe, efficient product movements. A strong customer service mindset and IT proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service experience and strong communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and IT skills; able to use various software packages.
• Experience operating a weighbridge and providing administration support in an operational environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the traffic management system and ensure safe site operation.
• Run the terminals SCADA system in a safe and efficient manner; process tickets per SOP.
• Operate a safe and compliant weighbridge; ensure vehicles are weighed accurately.
• Communicate with engineers, operatives and team leaders to discharge vessels and coordinate storage activities.
• Support safe and efficient movements of products and report delays to the Shift Supervisor.
• Use a range of software packages including Microsoft.
• Knowledge of bulk handling methods is advantageous; experience in food products or waste regulations is helpful but not essential.
