Job summary

Haven seeks an Activities and Leisure Shift Leader to drive guest experiences in our pool and activities. You will lead shifts, guide the team, and uphold high safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a sharp focus on safety. Flexible to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is preferred. Training and courses are provided, with DBS checks required before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Lifeguard, Team Leader, or Supervisor in a leisure, sports, activities, or recreation setting preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong safety check compliance.
• Ability to stay focused and act quickly in emergencies.
• Committed to high-quality, customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team by assigning tasks, ensuring smooth workflow, and motivating team members to deliver excellent service.
• Provide prompt, professional guest service, addressing complaints and special requests.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations to promote a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of pool equipment, facilities, and activities areas.
• Supervise and motivate the team, promoting a positive, fun, and safe work environment.
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed, including proper use of equipment and adherence to company guidance.
• Assist in training new team members on company policies and procedures.
• Participate in team duties whilst stepping up as the shift leader when assigned.
