A leading engineering organization in the UK is seeking a PMO Manager/PMO Lead to shape and lead a small PMO team. This role involves overseeing project controls, governance, and reporting across a portfolio of fast-moving projects. The ideal candidate has proven PMO management experience in a dynamic environment and a background in infrastructure projects. You'll ensure quality project delivery while managing multiple priorities and helping to embed new ways of working.

Internationally recognised engineering and programme management organisation, seeks a proven project controls professional to join their team as PMO Manager / PMO Lead.

This exciting opportunity will see you shape and lead a small PMO team (up to six people), ensuring effective oversight, reporting, governance, and delivery support across a portfolio of lower‑value but fast‑moving projects. The successful candidate will help embed new processes and ways of working, bringing structure, consistency and clarity to project delivery while maintaining a pragmatic, fit‑for‑purpose approach. They must be comfortable operating in a high‑throughput environment and balancing multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stand up and manage a lean PMO team supporting a high volume of enhancement projects
  • Lead development and embedding of project controls, reporting standards, and delivery processes
  • Oversee governance, risk management, scheduling, and resource coordination
  • Drive consistency and quality across project documentation and reporting
  • Coach and guide project managers and PMO colleagues to uplift capability

  • Proven experience managing a PMO, ideally in a lean or fast‑paced construction delivery environment
