Job summary

InPost is seeking a Warehouse Shift Supervisor (PM) for our Birmingham hub. You will oversee daily warehouse operations, optimise mechanical sortation processes, and lead a team to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires experience in shift leadership, strong communication, and a proactive safety mindset. A driving licence is essential, forklift knowledge is a plus, and you will be involved in training and policy execution.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading a shift with direct people leadership and resource planning.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Verbal and written communication at all levels.
• Driving licence is essential.
• Forklift license beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning staff requirements including rota management and annual leave.
• Provide induction and on-the-job training to staff and contractors.
• Complete disciplinary procedures when required.
• Conduct RTW interviews at shift start.
• Manage absence and lateness per policy.
• Ensure payroll paperwork is accurate and submitted.
• Hold team briefings on policies, safety, and updates.
• Support management on employee issues.
