Job summary

InPost Ltd. in the UK is seeking a Warehouse Sort Manager to lead the Wednesbury Sort hub, overseeing daily warehouse operations, team performance, and safety compliance.

The role focuses on motivating staff, planning rosters, and driving efficiency to meet customer deadlines, with a 5-on/2-off pattern and hours 09:00–17:30. Salary around £30,231 per annum reflects the senior responsibilities.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced Distribution or Logistics environment.
• Proven success in effective people management, motivating teams to achieve results.
• Experience driving and surpassing growing operational KPIs.
• Calm, focused approach to prioritizing daily tasks under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving with practical decision-making.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with essential software and systems.
• Able to meet strict deadlines with excellent communication to engage teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate your team to meet productivity targets and customer deadlines.
• Assist in planning and forecasting staff requirements, rota management, and annual leave planning.
• Ensure labelling, sortation, and warehouse productivity targets are achieved with quality.
• Provide a hand-over report to the incoming Shift Manager to maintain seamless operations.
• Induct new staff and provide ongoing training to staff and contractors for safe, effective performance.
• Ensure Health & Safety training is completed and maintain a safe work environment.
