About The Role

Forest Green Rovers Football Club are excited to be recruiting an Emerging Talent Centres (ETC) Player Development Lead. The successful candidate will contribute to the long-term development of coaches and players within Forest Green Rovers ETC. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to :

  • Have responsibility for delivery of the ETC Coaching Curriculum, ensuring the curriculum is consistently delivered in line with the Playing Philosophy and Coaching Philosophy.
  • Be responsible for designing the Club’s continued professional development programme (CPD), using internal and external professionals.
  • In conjunction with each of the Club’s coaches, plan, deliver and monitor the delivery of individual development plans for each such coach.
  • In conjunction with the Designated Safeguarding Officer, ensure all policies, practices and procedures relating to safeguarding of young people are implemented.
  • Ensure the oversight of ETC Coaches to ensure the same messages are being disseminated throughout the coaching team, working together to write and deliver coaching programmes.
  • Attend ETC fixtures
  • Monitor and plan the development of all players in the ETC to ensure they are getting stretched and challenged accordingly.

This is a part-time, permanent position (6 hours per week) based onsite at FGR, located at The New Lawn in Stroud, Gloucestershire.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • UEFA B Licence
  • EFAiF
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • FA Safeguarding Certificate
  • Understanding of the ETC Audit process

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • UEFA A Licence
  • Coach Education Qualification
  • D1 Minibus Driving License
  • Previous coaching experience
  • Competent using various platforms including ASA tool, Teamworks and Hudl
