Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com in the UK is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Batch Data Tools team within the Global Intelligence Platforms organisation, to build and evolve Mobius, our internal analytics and data platform powering batch and streaming workloads.

You will design and implement data processing, set up observability, participate in code reviews, collaborate with internal teams, and help shape scalable architecture across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Production-grade data platform experience with batch or streaming workloads.
• Strong SQL skills and data transformation tooling knowledge.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based data platforms and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve batch/data processing on Mobius platform.
• Evolve Mobius capabilities and scale architecture for growing data needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet data requirements with production-ready solutions.
• Set up observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Participate in code reviews and raise engineering standards.
• Contribute to tooling, processes, and developer experience improvements.
