Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Batch Data Tools team within Data Platform. You will design and evolve Mobius, a Kubernetes-native data platform that supports batch and streaming pipelines at scale.

You will own core batch components, contribute to architecture, and partner with internal teams to deliver reliable, production-ready data solutions. You will build, monitor, and improve data workloads, drive incident response, and raise engineering standards across

Formación

• Proficient coding in Python/Java/Scala for production systems.
• Experience with Spark/DBT for data processing and pipelines.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and cloud data services (AWS).
• Familiarity with Iceberg, Glue, DynamoDB and related data tools.
• Proficient SQL in large-scale data environments (Athena, Redshift-like).
• Experience orchestrating data workflows (Airflow).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and improve batch data processing on Mobius platform.
• Shape scalable architecture decisions for data workloads.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate data needs into robust solutions.
• Own observability: monitoring, alerts, logs; lead incident response.
• Contribute to code quality through reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Help evolve tooling and developer experience across Mobius.
