A healthcare provider in Wakefield is seeking a full-time Nursing Associate to join their Plastic Surgery Department. This role involves providing patient-centered care, assisting surgeons, and supporting the healthcare team. Ideal candidates should have an NMC Registered Nursing Associate Foundation Degree and demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nursing Associate Band 4 Full time post (37.5 hours per week) within the Plastic Surgery Department Gates 28 & 28c. You will be working alongside Plastic Surgeons and other Nursing staff in the Plastic Surgery Ward and the Plastic Surgery Assessment Unit.
You will work 11.5 hour shifts directly looking after patients on the ward or Assessment unit.You will work as a team to support Surgeons, Nurses and Care Support Workers within your team.You will be responsible for the evaluation and implementation of all aspects of patient centred care using current evidence based practice including: Medicine administration, pre, peri & post op care of patients, simple and complex dressings and discharge planning. You will also assist Plastic Surgeons in the Major treatment room on the department.
