Job summary

Carpenters Group is seeking an experienced claims professional to manage a caseload of litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims up to £100,000. You will progress files from instruction to resolution with sound legal judgement and cost awareness.

You will maintain excellent client care, liaise with Defendant solicitors and insurers, obtain medical evidence, issue proceedings, attend hearings, and mentor colleagues while working in a hybrid UK-wide office network.

Qualifications

• Experience of running a claimant caseload of litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims within RTA Portals and the former Multi Track.
• Ability to work to fee and settlement targets and mentor colleagues.
• Strong knowledge of CPR and related case law and progressing claims timely.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims up to £100,000.
• Obtain medical and other evidence in line with track rules and recoverability.
• Issue proceedings using the Court Portal and attend conferences/hearings as needed.
• Provide clear written and oral advice on litigation costs and risks.
• Maintain regular client updates and build rapport with external parties.
• Collaborate with Defendant solicitors and insurers to pursue appropriate heads of loss.
• Ensure retainers and costs estimates are accurate and updated.
• Identify and mitigate risks to maximise prospects of success above 51%.
