Carpenters Group is seeking an experienced professional to manage a caseload of litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims up to £100,000. You will drive cases from initial instruction to resolution while delivering gold standard client care.

The role requires strong CPR knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to mentor colleagues. A hybrid working model and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience running your own claimant caseload of litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims across RTA Portals and the former Multi Track.
• Ability to run EL/PL or OL cases would be an advantage.
• Experience of working to a fee target and/or settlement targets.
• Willingness to mentor and develop colleagues.
• Good working knowledge of CPR and related case law and progressing claims timely.
• Excellent customer care skills and ability to provide clear written and oral advice.
• Strong communication skills with external agencies throughout the life of a claim.
• Sound IT skills including VF or similar case management and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently run a caseload of litigated and non-litigated personal injury claims up to £100,000 value.
• Provide gold standard customer care to clients.
• Deal with Fixed Fee and Portal RTA, including untraced and uninsured MIB claims, to maximise damages.
• Obtain appropriate medical and non-medical evidence per track requirements.
• Use PI Calculator to progress cases efficiently.
• Issue proceedings using the Court Portal.
• Attend conferences, hearings, and CMCs with Counsel if needed.
• Advise clients on litigation/cost risks and dishonesty issues as appropriate.
• Obtain timely instructions from lay/insurance clients, litigation friend, attorney, or Deputy.
• Ensure compliance with professional conduct rules and internal policies.
• Prioritise Court directions and keep clients informed using technology while maintaining personal contact.
• Build constructive relationships with Defendant Solicitors and Insurers for collaboration.
• Carry out due diligence to confirm claim authenticity and validity.
• Risk assess cases from outset and throughout to justify continuance or escalation.
• Keep insurers updated to reduce exposure and costs.
• Send retainers and rates and review costs estimates annually.
• Obtain and review medical evidence to advance/maximise claims.
• Discuss liability/quantum offers via phone rather than letters when possible.
• Prioritise daily post/emails and urgent items; manage other items efficiently.
• May act as authorised person when requested.
