Job summary

Carpenters Group is seeking an experienced claims handler to manage a caseload of MOJ and Intermediate track motor injury claims from instruction through settlement. You will proactively progress files and maximise damages, using the Serious Injury Guide and Rehabilitation Code where appropriate to foster early collaboration and effective case planning.

The role requires solid MOJ experience and an ability to work within a niche area of law.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal injury with own caseload or assisting a Serious Injury Lawyer.
• Experience with pain-related conditions is advantageous.
• Understanding CPR, relevant case law and legislation for timely progression of claims.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a caseload of MOJ and Intermediate track motor claims to maximise damages.
• Instruct Counsel, attend conferences and court hearings as needed.
• Keep clients informed regularly by phone, video, email or meetings.
• Ensure evidence is obtained in correct order to advance claims and assess liability, causation and quantum.
• Discuss liability and quantum offers with relevant parties to build rapport.
