Weekly rate £12.98-£14.36 across selected London locations.

About the opportunity

As a Boots Relief Phlebotomist based at London Wimbledon store you will travel up to 2 hours to other stores across the region including Tottenham Court Road, Cheapside, Reading Broad Street, Brighton North Street, Portsmouth Commercial Road and Southampton West Quay to provide phlebotomy services. You will manage appointment diaries, greet patients, take venous blood samples, and deliver patient‑centred care. You will build relationships with patients and store teams across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day management of the appointment diary to ensure clinics are set up as required and services delivered safely and professionally.
  • Ensure every individual arriving for a pre‑booked appointment is greeted, booked into the system and completes all pre‑consultation paperwork.
  • Take venous blood samples in accordance with UK guidelines, maintaining sample integrity and appropriate storage.
  • Prepare samples for collection, manage missed collections and ensure samples reach the laboratory on time.
  • Communicate with store leadership team, pharmacist and pharmacy team to ensure safe and appropriate provision of the service.
  • Order and maintain adequate stock of consumables and materials required to deliver the service.
  • Ensure the consultation space always meets the required consultation room standards.
What you’ll need to have
  • Minimum 12‑month phlebotomist experience.
  • Willingness to work weekdays and weekends.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car for travel between stores.
  • Flexibility to change locations on short notice.
  • Punctuality and preparation for each shift.
  • Healthcare Training Programme at NVQ2 or equivalent.
  • Empathetic, approachable and able to build relationships quickly with colleagues and customers.
  • A passion for customer care and working in healthcare.
