Job summary

Boots is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician to join our community-focused team. You’ll provide patient-centred service, advise on medicines, help triage, and support the dispensary with stock control and safety compliance.

You’ll be registered with GPhC and comfortable coaching colleagues, using pharmacy systems, and delivering high-quality care. Training and development opportunities are available within Boots.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC/PSNI/PSI).
• Excellent coaching and leadership abilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Motivated to improve services for teams, customers, and patients.
• Desire to deliver outstanding patient care and services.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and available products.
• Deliver store-specific services as needed.
• Build relationships with the pharmacy team; coach and inspire high standards of care.
• Assist with patient triage and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Own legal, safe, ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock replenishment, workload, orders and handling controlled drugs ensuring safety.
