Job summary

Boots Group is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient‑centred service in our community stores. You will triage patients, coach the team, and provide expert technical advice on medicine supply while safeguarding legal and ethical standards.

You will work with the pharmacy team to maintain high standards of care, use pharmacy systems effectively and support delivering a broad range of services to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Experience or enthusiasm for coaching and leading a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Delivering services as required by the store.
• Coaching and inspiring the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distribution of prescription materials.
• Ensuring legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock, workload, order fulfilment and handling controlled drugs while keeping patient safety a priority.
