Job summary

Boots Pharmacy in Carluke, Scotland is seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to support patient-centred care. You will provide expert advice, triage patients, and help coach the dispensary team to maintain safety and accuracy.

You’ll be registered with the GPhC and confident using pharmacy systems; training is available to develop checking capability. There are clear opportunities to progress within Boots and contribute to outstanding community healthcare.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Desire to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Delivering services depending on store needs.
• Coaching and inspiring the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock replenishment, workload, order fulfilment and handling controlled drugs.
