Job summary
Practice Plus Group - Health in Justice seeks a Pharmacy Technician for HMP Gartree in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The role supports dispensing, stock control and medicines checks within a four-person team in a Category B prison.
The post offers 37.5 hours weekly, Monday–Sunday service, 7:30am–5pm, with a salary between £34,428 and £41,658 per annum FTE, dependent on experience. UK right to work is required.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; registration with GPhC required.
- Continual Professional Development (CPD) ongoing.
- Post-qualification pharmacy experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work unsupervised within policy.

- Maintain accurate patient records and follow standard operating procedures.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Gartree, a category B Prison located in Market Harborough, Leicestershire
HMP Gartree has a capacity of 1965 males.
The pharmacy within the healthcare department is responsible for dispensing, ordering, prescription rewriting, stock control, and medication checks. The team consists of four staff members.

- Monday - Sunday service

Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary between £34,428 - £41,658per annum FTE - depending on experience.

As aPharmacy Technician,your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide outstanding quality based patient centred care to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
- Focussing on providing a safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensuring standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.
- Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards. Involving anything from the timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.
- You will make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

- NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
