Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant (Procurement) to support the procurement of medicines for the hospital. The role involves placing routine and ad-hoc orders, processing invoices, and liaising with suppliers under the direction of the Pharmacy Procurement manager.

You will be part of a team responsible for managing a substantial medicines budget and ensuring stock availability.

Mansioni

• Place routine and ad-hoc pharmacy orders in accordance with the defined daily routine.
• Process invoices and investigate deviations from predicted purchase price.
• Pursue overdue orders by liaising with manufacturers and suppliers under direction of Pharmacy Procurement manager.
• Maintain records of medicines shortages.
• Participate in stock taking in the pharmacy store.
• Deal with enquiries from wards and departments and liaise with Pharmacy Procurement Office Manager and Principal Technician as required.
• Advise pharmacy staff on medicines procurement and availability.
• Assist with general clerical duties including post, filing, telephone and document management.
