Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Procurement & Homecare Assistant to join our Pharmacy team. You will provide administrative and operational support to the Homecare, high-cost drugs and procurement functions, ensuring orders are processed, deliveries checked, stocks monitored and records kept accurately.

The role involves liaising with suppliers and NHS colleagues, handling homecare prescriptions, and maintaining orderly documentation.

Qualifications

• Administrative and operational support to the Pharmacy Homecare, high cost drugs and procurement team.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Process pharmacy orders and raise purchase orders using electronic systems.
• Receive and check deliveries of medicines and pharmacy-related products.
• Assist with stock management and replenishment monitoring.
• Support safe and efficient supply of medicines through homecare services.
• Process homecare prescriptions and documentation per procedures.
• Liaise with homecare companies, wholesalers and suppliers regarding orders and deliveries.
