Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Purchasing Manager to join the Pharmacy Department's Purchasing Section. The role supports medicines and pharmacy supplies procurement, ensuring high standards of patient care and opportunities for professional development, including potential CIPS qualification sponsorship.

You will oversee invoicing, supplier queries and KPI reporting, while guiding a team of purchasing assistants.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a purchasing or procurement environment.
• Experience with e-commerce systems and processes.
• Experience managing a team.
• Proven ability to investigate and resolve queries efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the processing of invoices, credits and supplier queries.
• Produce, validate and analyse financial data.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers.
• Support receipts team with troubleshooting and resolving system/process errors.
• Assist with medicines and product recalls.
• Contribute to department KPI data production/reporting.
• Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to purchasing assistants.
